Pair arrested on drug charges in Beebe

A traffic stop in Beebe over the weekend led to the arrest of two people on drug charges.

Officers with the Beebe Police Department, assisted by the Central Arkansas Drug Task Force, arrested Robert Sullins, 26, of Lonoke and McKinley Rickett, 21, of Searcy.

According to a news release, around 8 pounds of marijuana along with $11,434 was seized.

The two were charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

On Monday, officers learned of a possible hidden compartment in the car that Sullins and Rickett were in when the traffic stop took place. Investigators with a search warrant located the hidden compartment and found an additional $18,479.

Sullins was being held at the White County jail on a $25,000 bond. Rickett was being held on a $5,000 bond.
