— Searcy native Randall Young will seek the office of White County clerk in the May Republican primary.

Having been active in White County politics since 2004, Young is a former chairman of the White County Republican Party and was a 2010 election commissioner. He is a veteran, having served as a Signal Corps officer in the U.S. Army.

He received a degree in mathematics from Arkansas State University. He spent his career as a computer programmer managing as many as 12 employees.

“My primary goal as your White County Clerk would be to ensure fair and correct elections and to make sure that proper procedures are followed when White Countians register to vote,” Young said.

Young said he would encourage White County Clerk’s Office employees to seek educational advancement and would strive to maintain the professionalism of the office.
