— Arkansas football coach Bobby Petrino will be released from the hospital Tuesday following a motorcycle accident on Sunday in Madison County.

Petrino has been cleared by his doctors to attend the Razorbacks’ spring football practice Tuesday and observe from the press box. Petrino suffered multiple broken ribs, a neck sprain and several contusions, according to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

“His physicians will continue to monitor his progress throughout his recovery,” UA athletics director Jeff Long said. “We look forward to Coach Petrino’s continued improvement and full resumption of his duties as head football coach.”

The fifth-year Arkansas coach will meet with the media shortly before Tuesday’s practice to talk about his accident. In addition, Tuesday’s practice has been opened to the public. It will begin at 3:50 p.m. in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
