FAYETTEVILLE — Jessica Dorrell, who was hired last week to an administrative role within the Arkansas football department, was on the back of Bobby Petrino's motorcycle when it crashed Sunday in Madison County, according to the accident report released Thursday by the Arkansas State Police.
The report contradicts a statement made by the Petrino family through the University of Arkansas athletics media relations office on Monday stating the Razorbacks' football coach was the only individual involved in the accident. Petrino crashed his Harley-Davidson around 6:45 p.m. Sunday on Arkansas 16 near the rural community of Crosses, about 23 miles southeast of Fayetteville.
According to the report, Petrino and Dorrell were picked up by Benjamin Adam Williams, Jody Diane Stewart and Williams' 12-year-old son, all of Ozark. Petrino and Dorrell were transported to the intersection of Huntsville Road and Crossover Road in east Fayetteville, where Dorrell departed the vehicle.
Petrino was met there by Capt. Lance King, an Arkansas state trooper who serves as his security detail during football season, and transported to Physicians' Specialty Hospital in Fayetteville. King is also the commander of Arkansas State Police Troop L, based in Springdale.
According to the report, Dorrell was not injured in the accident. Neither Petrino nor Dorrell was cited by police for the accident. Petrino suffered four broken ribs, a neck sprain and a cracked vertebrae in the accident, he said Tuesday. Dorrell was not injured, according to the report.
Dorrell, 25, is a former volleyball player at the UA and had previously worked for The Razorback Foundation Inc., the university's private fundraising arm. She was hired as student-athlete development coordinator for football on March 28.

Let us not pass judgement on anyone .Lest we be judged first .I have tried to read everything said by CBP , I cannot find anything in print quoting CBP saying that he was alone on the bike.I have seen several references that said that there were no more vechiles in volved in this accident. I have been over the transcript of CBP'S press conference four times and found no reference to CBP being alone , with someone , ect. COACH...GET WELL * TELL THE TRUTH * LOOK IN THE MIRROR PEOPLE...

I could car LESS what this lady was doing with him. People we need to learn to Ming our own d$&@ business. We knew he had a few issues when he was hired to be our football coach but that wasn't our business either. His business is between him and his family so get a freaking life. Look in your mirror and in some of your closets and take care of our own business. All I want BP to do is what he was hired to do!! PERIOD! His private life is his private life so some of you need to get a life:))

Stopdaviolence: On the one hand, this being Bill Clinton's home state (not to mention the school where he met Hillary), staying out of Petrino's personal life is one thing; after all he WAS a "hired gun". However, NWA is too conservative to let something like that go; remember Asa Hutchinson was one of the House managers who prosecuted Clinton's impeachment trial.
Even more importantly, it was DUMB-A** STUPID for Petrino to catch a ride back to Fayetteville and THEN call his trooper buddy about the accident. First of all, leaving the scene of an accident is usually a crime (though a one-vehicle, no-pedestrian accident might be an exception). And dropping her off in Fayetteville BEFORE calling the trooper makes things look even more suspicious, especially when the initial press release said it "involved no other INDIVIDUALS" (not "vehicles"). Even if not injured, his lady friend WAS involved.

My guess is that's why he started laying his bike over so she could jump off without much injury. I could be wrong. From his transcript: Right as I came off the pavement I remember hitting the brakes and trying to lower the bike down, lay the bike down, and take a little leap.
He got caught, now will own up to it?

Yeah, if this was an innocent outing between two U of A employees, why not mention his associate in all the press releases/statements? Surely he could have said he was glad she had not been injured. Perhaps there was more than "sun in the eyes" as the cause of this...after all, what 51 year old man wouldn't be just a LITTLE distracted with such a lovely colleague holding on?

Hey stopdaviolence - BP chose a career that puts him in the public eye and on the taxpayer funded payroll - making it taxpayers' business, not to mention ticket buyers, alumns, and program donors. BP told lies to cover up lies and he told them to his bosses. Should one of my employees ever lie to me in a way that forces me to perpetuate the lie, he would be fired on the spot.

If we don't impeach the President, when he eventually ADMITTED to sexual acts with his young lady, why would we fire a college football coach for giving a co-worker a ride? Come on ya'll, let's not judge the man too soon...And even if he is/was having an affair with her, apparently you can run the country without morals so why not a football team?

It is a pity that this has come about. But the public has a right to know the facts.
The U of A should require Bobby to issue a statement under oath as to all of the
facts and circumstances surrounding this matter. This should be made public and
Bobby can give all of the details whatever they may be.
Bobby being a public figure of some stature in the State of Arkansas should welcome
the opportunity to state his case.

Well I can see by the names on here, that none of these people post on the sports pages during football practice or during the season, which leads me to believer these are the types of folks that jump at the first chance to organize a witch hunt or Nutt lovers that can't get over it.....I'll be the first to say this will have no effect on recruiting , coaching or attendance of games, ........get a life people, turn your soap operas back on.

@HASKELLHOG: Petrino was specifically asked at the press conference if he was by himself/alone on his bike. Petrino (and his family) both were adamant the he was alone.
Why lie? If everything was on the "up and up", then there would have been nothing to hide.

@LondonHawg Does not have to be a "witch hunt". Seems Petrino caused all of this himself by hiding some thing. Would have been better if he had said that he was giving the girl a ride on his Harley/ Everyone who has every rode knows there are always pretty and no so pretty ladies who wants a ride. But you should never every fail to mention it to your wife or the press.
Personally, I don't care. Never spent a penny at a hog game and don't plan to. And I don't even care if he was" hittin' it" as long as he shows up to work. But this is Arkansas...Land of the Cheaters and Ho's, behind closed doors. Once it make sit to fresh air, everyone acts like they are better than tho' and have a fit. He will be gone...simple. Arkansas will not keep it's nose out of the neighbors back yard. Just Thank God it was a pretty girl and not some known gay guy.

This man is a representative of our flagship university, a mentor and teacher of young people. Im sure some of my tax money pays for his lavish lifestyle and he in no way "earns" what he is paid. He SHOULD be an example to the young people who come in contact with him and lying is not a good start. My sympathy to his wife and family--if he were mine his entire body would look like his face! I might spare him for half of everything he has and earns in the future and be gone.

I hope the UA didn't raise the price of tickets too high for fans to afford the games just so the coaches can provide their "side-rides" with administrative positions that pay good salaries and free season pass to all the games. Maybe that was the reason for the tuition hike too.
