Financial Aid Fridays MELBOURNE - Ozarka College Student Services will hold FAFSA Fridays during April to offer students free financial-aid assistance in completing the 2012-13 Free Application for Federal Student Aid form. Students can visit the following locations on Friday and on April 13, 20 and 27: Melbourne, TRiO Computer Lab, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Ash Flat, Room AF101, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Mountain View, Resource Room 107, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The service will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 20 at the Mammoth Spring campus. GED Testing NEWPORT - The Adult Education Department at Arkansas State University-Newport will offer the two-part GED test four more times during the spring 2012 semester. The following are Monday/Tuesday dates with the test beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Mondays and at 9 a.m. on Tuesdays: April 16-17; April 30-May 1; May 14-15; and May 21-22. Searcy AARP Driver Safety Course SEARCY - The PrimeTimes of the White County Medical Center will offer an AARP Driver Safety Course from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday and again April 21 in the Hubach Center. Bake Sale and Health Fair NEWPORT - The Lindley Stars, Lindley Health and Rehab’s Relay for Life team, will have a bake sale and health fair at the Newport Walmart. The health fair will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with blood-pressure checks, pulseox tests and finger-stick bloodsugar tests, as well as hospice consultants from Legacy, Dierkson and Arkansas Hospice groups. SATURDAY Concord Easter-Egg Hunt CONCORD - The town of Concord and area churches will offer an Easter-egg hunt at 11 a.m. at the Concord Community Center Park, 10424 Heber Springs Road N. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance, and more than 1,000 eggs will be hidden for five age groups: 2 and younger, 3-4, 5-7, 8-10 and senior adults 65 and older. There will be prize eggs and a prize basket for each group. Egg hunters are asked to bring their own baskets. After the hunt, hot dogs and drinks will be served.

SAME Café SEARCY - The SAME Café will be open from 4-6 p.m. at the West Side Church of Christ, 709 W. Jacksonport Easter-Egg Hunt NEWPORT - The 28th annual Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 1 to 12 will be held at 11 a.m. at Jacksonport State Park. The Easter Bunny will visit with the children before and after the event for pictures. Other activities will include free temporary Easter face tattoos, and Backwoods Confections will sell ice cream. Searcy Easter-Egg Hunt SEARCY - An Easter-egg hunt for the whole family will be held at 10 a.m. at the Searcy Event Center, off Queensway behind the soccer fields. In addition to the egg hunt, there will be live music, a puppet show, jump houses, a bungee run, an 18-foot slide, hot dogs and bottled water.
