MAGNOLIA — Southern Arkansas announced Andy Sharpe as their new head men's basketball coach at a press conference on Monday afternoon.
Sharpe, who comes to the Muleriders after heading the program at Martin Methodist for the past five seasons at Martin Methodist, an NAIA school in Pulaski, Tenn. Sharpe went 127-38 as head coach of the Redhawks.
Sharpe replaces Eric Bozeman, who was relieved of his duties as head coach last month after seven seasons as coach. Sharpe and a fellow Great American Conference coach, Allen Sharpe of Arkansas-Monticello, are cousins.
