The Little Rock Board of Directors will discuss proposed residency requirements for firefighters and police officers and the city's sewer system this afternoon at 4 p.m.
The residency ordinance would require newly hired firefighters and police to live inside the city limits. The ordinance would not apply to existing employees, but would require newly hired employees to move within city limits within 90 days after being hired.
The sewer system will also be discussed. The city attorney warned in March that Little Rock may be financially liable if it does not assist Wastewater's plans to finance repairs to the city's sewer system after a lawsuit.
