LITTLE ROCK NEXT WEEK
Plucking folk: Mountain View is gearing up for a weekend of old-style crafts and music with the Arkansas Folk Festival, April 20-22. Scheduled performances and impromptu jam sessions will take place in downtown Mountain View’s courthouse square. Over at the Ozark Folk Center, admission to the craft village will be free. NEXT MONTH
Rocking folk: The Arkansas Repertory Theatre welcomes the Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, Next to Normal, May 4-27. Production of the rock musical starts with previews 7 p.m. May 2-3 with May 2 as a “pay what you can” performance. Regular performances will be 7 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday and Sunday, 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $25-$50; $10 off A seats and $5 off B seats before May 4.
