LITTLE ROCK — The Little Rock Sustainability Summit introduced a crowd of about 150 to new methods to help conserve energy within businesses.
The conference, which took place in the Clinton Library's Great Hall on Thursday afternoon, focused on a few examples of such methods, such as L'Oreal's green initiative, something that has saved the company millions.
The keynote speaker, Pam Alabaster, represented the company and gave a presentation on the matter, which she said includes incentives for each division to conserve energy. Mayor Mark Stodola also attended the event.
A panel discussion was also held with heads from companies such as AT&T, Wal-Mart and University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
