Jessica Dorrell and University of Arkansas Coach Bobby Petrino appear together in this Feb. 23 file photograph at Searcy High School during a meeting of the White County Razorback Club.

Jessica Dorrell is on paid administrative leave from her job in the football program at the University of Arkansas, said Steve Voorhies, a spokesman for the university.

Dorrell, 25, was a passenger on Bobby Petrino's motorcycle when it crashed April 1.

The crash led to revelations about a relationship between Dorrell and Petrino, including a $20,000 gift from Petrino to Dorrell.

Petrino was fired Tuesday.

Voorhies could not provide any other details about Dorrell's employment status or whether she is being investigated.

Dorrell was recently hired as student-athlete development coordinator. She had previously worked for the Razorback Foundation.

In my personal opinion, she definitely knew what she was doing was wrong......being a mistress to a married man.....she should be fired also. Even if she isn't fired, she should quit, as I can't see where there's too many people that would look upon her character in a favorable manner.

It took "TWO TO TANGO" and she should be BOOTED too! What's good for the Coach is good for his concubine! WHY do we pay people for creating scandals when we (the administrators of the university) KNOW she was a part of it all?? BOOT HER NOW!

Not so easy to give her the boot....has to do with the sexual harassment thing. I am sure she is now being advised by a panel of sleazy lawyers as we speak.

I don't think Dorrell was a passenger on the motorcycle. I think she was driving at the time of the crash. Running off the road like that is a rookie mistake for turning the handlebars the wrong way when turning. Push left, turn left. You turn a motorcycle opposite the direction you want to go. It isn't like turning a bicycle.

Jessica Dorrell broke no laws. Having an affair with a married person is not a firing offense otherwise we would lose a large number of faculty/staff from U of A. Anyone who understands Federal Law on Sexual Harrassment knows that she has a very valid case against U of A. She was in a relationship with someone who may not have been her direct supervisor at the Foundation, but does anyone think that Petrino had no influence on the Foundation? Then she is hired by Petrino. Who had the power? Petrino. What might have happened if Ms. Dorrell had refused Mr. Petrino's advances? Might it have impacted her employment, past and present?Did she feel intimidated? Is Mr. Petrino the type who would have accepted rejection? Could Ms. Dorrell have been fearful for her employment? Can you imagine saying no to Mr. Petrino? Any first year lawyer should get her a great out-of-court settlement.

So even as the beneficiary of fraudulent hiring practices, Ms D is just an innocent babe? Whatever, go ahead and give her a settlement and hopefully it will be less than $18 million! Also hope that University officials will consider it tuition and apply the lesson to future hires.

jeeper360....
Actually you do turn a motorcycle in the direction you want to go. Push left, go left.
I kind of agree with your suspicions though. Petrino supposedly has been riding for a while, that would be a rookie mistake. UNLESS... she caused him to run off the road with a reach-around! LOL
