Mountain Home murder trial delayed until October

— A judge has delayed the murder trial for a 39-year-old Mountain Home woman charged in the shooting death of her boyfriend.

Mountain Home radio station KTLO reports that Rhonda Clark’s trial has been tentatively rescheduled for Oct. 8. She’s charged in the November 2010 death of 43-year-old Antonio Sanchez III.

Police say Sanchez was found dead on Thanksgiving. Authorities say an autopsy showed he was shot twice with a .22-caliber rifle — once in the head and once in the back.

Police say Clark told her coworkers that Sanchez had committed suicide.

Clark’s attorney is asking a judge to throw out statements Clark made during police interviews. Judge John Putnam did not rule on the request Thursday and requested legal briefs from both sides before making a decision.
