Arkansas Democrat-Gazette/STEPHEN B. THORNTON 3/31/2012 U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor speaks Saturday afternoon at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery during a ceremony honoring Arkansas fallen soldiers.

Sen. Mark Pryor of Arkansas is making it clear to friends and supporters that he’s definitely running for a third term in 2014.

A spokesman for the Democratic senator said Thursday that Pryor recently told friends in a letter that he plans to run for re-election. Pryor had initially said he would make a decision after the 2012 election, but his spokesman said he wanted to tamp down rumors that he wouldn’t run.

Pryor defeated incumbent Republican Sen. Tim Hutchinson in 2002. He won re-election in 2008 after no Republicans filed to run against him. Pryor handily defeated a Green Party challenger that year. Pryor had faced speculation that he was considering retiring or running for governor.

Pryor’s decision was first reported on the Arkansas Times website.

Reason,

He's not yet sure whether he will run as a democrat or republican. All of his big money donors haven't told him yet. This is probably going to be another farce with him running as a Democrat and Clinton standing behind him. He'll squeak by with the nomination and then lose to some far right joker just like Blanche did.

Lincoln gone! Obama going. Pryor is next. He will try anything to get reelected. And it will become more apparent the closer to the election for his replacement.

Mark Pryor may be in jail by then... No, Dems get a pass on their crimes that should be prosecuted by the IRS.

Lazybar: Since you never once voted for Blanche, how does that make you an expert on WHY democrats stopped supporting her?
She was supposed to support workers and she didn't. She was supposed to support the public option and she didn't. She was supposed to support farmers and she didn't. Blanche Lambert Lincoln never was a democrat. Bozeman is worse and that is saying a lot!

Is this going to another election where we have to hold our nose when we vote?
