LITTLE ROCK Students from Little Rock Central High School and LISA Academy took home top honors in the Arkansas Science Olympiad, April 14, hosted by University of Arkansas-Little Rock.
Central won the senior high division, while LISA Academy student won the middle school division, according to a release from UALR.
Both teams now earned the right to head to the Nation Science Olympiad, May 18 and 19 in Orlando.
For LISA Academy, students Anna Wolff, Chloe Beall, Evalyn Berleant, Jesse Morrison, Christopher Heredia, Mingjia Wu, Nivetha Svinivasan, Pranav Kolluru, Ryan Kaufmann, Izabelle Harville, Abhigna Penthala, and Leslie Gray were responsible for winning the middle school division.
For Central, Abrar Matin, Farhan Kawsar, Aaron Yin, Brendon Song Song, Claire Schmidt, Annie Meek, Joseph Berleant, Arhita Dasgupta, Ayush Saraswat, Nimit Gandhi, Shruti Shah, Anusheh Ali, Dana Abulez, Sana Khan, and Devyani brought the title home in the senior high division.
