The farmers market in downtown Little Rock launched this morning, marking its 38th season.
Area farmers offered tables of strawberries, the main seasonal produce available currently. They also sold an array of vegetables, including lettuce, watermelon, cantaloupe, tomatoes, green beans, onions and potatoes.
"It just keeps on getting better and better," Abraham Carpenter, a farmer from Grady, said. "The River Market as a whole continues to grow every year, and we look forward to coming. Even through my family and I ship produce all over the United States, we always remain loyal to the farmer's market."
Other vendors set up tables featuring homemade jams, flowers, potted plants, jewelry and knitted items, among other goods.
