— 1 JAZZ A Work of Art, a tribute to Art Porter Sr. and Art Porter Jr., continues this weekend with jazz music and parties. The Afterthought, 2721 Kavanaugh Blvd., hosts the Porter Players Jam Session, 7 p.m. today, with free admission. On Friday, Keys on the River With Alex Bugnon starts at 6 p.m. at Cajun’s Wharf, 2400 Cantrell Road, $25. 2 JUSTIN Country singer and Poyen native Justin Moore will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Timberwood Amphitheater at Magic Springs Water and Theme Park, U.S. 70 (East Grand Avenue), Hot Springs, part of the park’s Pepsi Concert Series. Gates open at 6; Dry County and Just Sayin’ will open the show at 6:30. General admission to the park, which covers entrance to the amphitheater, is $44.99, $29.99 for “juniors” (under 48 inches tall) and “seniors” (age 55 and up). 3 JUNK The Museum of Discovery wants you to stop by for some puttering around at its first TinkerFest, 1o a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. In this free-form experimentation, you can’t do anything wrong. Just fiddle around with screwdrivers, motors, glue, wires and other tools as you take things apart and build toys from junk. There will also be local vendors showing off their expertise.

Admission is $10, $8 for ages 1-12.

4 JUMP Musical group the Rockets will perform and the William F. Laman Public Library System will give away prizes including an iPad and bicycles as part of its Lamanpalooza annual end-of-summer-reading bash, 5-8:30 p.m. Friday at the main library, 2801 Orange St., North Little Rock. The event will include inflatable bouncers, Yarnell’s ice cream, photo opportunities with Star Wars characters and animals from the Museum of Discovery. The Rockets take the stage at 7; Marshall Mitchell will open at 5:30. Admission is free, but you must have a valid Laman library card to win prizes (cards will not be issued during the event). You can park at the North Little Rock High School-West Campus and ride a free trolley to events.

Dazzling watercolors will adorn the walls of the Terry House Community Gallery, 411 E. Seventh St., as the Mid-Southern Watercolorists present their annual juried exhibition, Friday-Sept. 9. A reception for the exhibit will be 6-8 p.m.
