— Wedding vows were exchanged by Kathleen Wren Wessinger and John Alexander Mallory Jr. at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 28, in Second Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Steve Hancock officiated.

Laura and Dr. William David Wessinger Jr., 130 White Oak Lane, are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Sarah Louise Fike of Hot Springs Village, the late Dr. Robert Allen Fike of Little Rock, and the late Virginia Lou Wessinger and the late William David Wessinger, both of Pinehurst, N.C.

Parents of the groom are Brenda and Dr. John Alexander Mallory, 2 Masters Circle. His grandparents are the late Betty and Clyde Henry Kendrick of Springdale and the late Caroline and Dr. George Leonard Mallory Jr. of Little Rock.

The chancel held a center arrangement of roses, white lilies and blue hydrangeas. Music was by organist Adam Savacool. Mary Joslin read scripture.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory A-line organza gown and carried white and soft pink roses.

Serving as the bride’s honor attendants were Eliza Augusta Wessinger of Chicago and Marinna Brooke Wessinger of Little Rock, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Natalie Ramm of Boston and Emily Kymer-Davis and Caroline Mallory, sister of the groom, both of Little Rock.

Rosemary Caroline Mallory of Little Rock, cousin of the groom, was flower girl. Ring bearer was Evan Joseph Cristler of Benton, also a cousin of the groom.

Serving as best man was Bradley Cole Houston of Little Rock. Groomsmen were George Mallory IV, cousin of the groom, and Jason Ryburn and Josh Ogle, all of Little Rock; and Will Cashion of Helena-West Helena.

Guests were seated by Dr. Paul Bobryshev of Chicago; Greg Savage of Owasso, Okla.; Alex Font of Little Rock; and Brady Martin of Bryant.

An outdoor reception at Park on the River in Maumelle followed the ceremony.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She was creative chairman of Zeta Tau Alpha and served as Gamma Chi for the National Panhellenic Council. She is an associate art director at the Sells Agency.

The groom graduated from the University of Arkansas with bachelor’s degrees in communication and music. He served as president, vice president/philanthropy chairman and social chairman of Lambda Chi Alpha. He is a third-year law student at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law.

After a honeymoon in Costa Rica, the couple will live in Little Rock.
