— The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville has been named among the 103 “Great Colleges to Work For” by the Chronicle of Higher Education.

The rankings are based on surveys of faculty, staff and administrators.

This is the second time UA has been named to the list after having been selected in 2008.

Meanwhile, North Arkansas College in Harrison made the publication's honor roll, meaning it was a college among the most cited in the 12 recognition categories.

The criteria on which the survey is based are: collaborative governance; compensation and benefits; confidence in senior leadership; diversity; facilities, workspace and security; job satisfaction; professional/career-development programs; respect and appreciation; supervisor or department-chair relationship; teaching environment; tenure clarity and process; and work/life balance.

UA performed well in confidence in senior leadership, while the staff of North Arkansas College cited strengths in six areas.
