LITTLE ROCK One man is dead Friday afternoon following an altercation with police officers in Little Rock.
Little Rock police spokesman Sgt. Cassandra Davis said two Little Rock police officers responded to a disturbance call at 1107 Gillette Drive about 4:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, a man and a woman were involved in a domestic dispute inside the residence. Davis said an altercation followed, and at least one of the officers shot the man.
The man was transported to Baptist Health Medical Center, where he died from his injuries. Police are continuing to investigate the scene and have blocked a portion of Gillette Drive to the intersection of Leawood Boulevard. Davis would not release further details regarding the altercation, except that the two officers will be placed on paid leave pending investigation.
The identities of those involved have not yet been released.

I listen to the police dispatch all the time and just CRINGE when they are called to a place where a gun is involved. They have no idea what will come at them when they get out of the car.....God Bless our officers. You would probably be totally surprised how many times a day they are called to that kind of scene.

Wasn't there a serious man with gun issue not to long ago in Leawood? Just glad no law enforcement was injured. Those officers put them selves in harms way for us citizens. Be thankful!

@GoodMorningUncleSam ... Get out of the car and stop seeing everyone as a complaint or criminal.... Walk a beat and talk to real, every day people.
