Arkansas Republicans elect officers at winter meeting

— Arkansas Republicans have re-elected each of their five state officers during the annual winter meeting.

State GOP Chairman Doyle Webb of Benton was unopposed and re-elected to a third term as chairman of the party in voting Saturday at the meeting in Hot Springs. The meeting comes weeks after the November election in which the GOP won control of the Legislature for the first time since Reconstruction and Republicans swept all four of the state’s congressional seats.

Duane Neal of Bentonville was re-elected first vice chairman and Robin Lundstrum of Springdale was re-elected second vice chairman. John Parke of Little Rock was re-elected party treasurer and Jennifer Parks of El Dorado was re-elected as secretary.

State Republican Party officers may serve up to four consecutive two-year terms.
