LITTLE ROCK — Little Rock police responded Sunday evening to a report of a robbery in the parking lot of an Outback Steakhouse restaurant.
A man and a woman were robbed at gunpoint about 6:20 p.m. outside the eatery, at 105 Markham Park Drive, by two black males, police said.
The assailants approached the pair and told the man to lie facedown on the ground. The robbers took the woman’s purse, keys, debit cards, Apple iPhone 3 and $60 cash before taking off on foot toward the nearby Goodwill store, police said.
A witness told police that the robbers then jumped into the bed of a red Ford Ranger pickup and drove east in the Academy Sports parking lot.
Officers circled the shopping center and surrounding apartment complexes but failed to find the robbers, police said.
Police described the robbers as black males between ages 18 and 25. One was wearing a blue or black hoodie, police said.

Why is anyone surprised? Liberal social policies have created and cultivated an entitlement mentality where taking something from someone else by force is a logical extension of doing so by government fiat. Couple this with the shameless class warfare displayed by liberal politicians and it is easy to see why some people think it entirely justified to take what they want from those who can "afford" to give. After all, taking from the rich and re-distributing to the poor is simply social justice. Taking by force is only a necessary evil of the re-distribution. I'm pretty much packing these days 24/7. Two to the chest, one to the head.

In some "liberal" parts of the country, we allow the black folks to go to decent schools. We find that keeps crime down among their kind. Blacks like Obama who get that education fever tend not to rob people.

HeyHotSpringsLawyer - Only a liberal would equate truth as bizarre. Even a useful idiot can connect the dots: What demographic is most likely to commit violent crime in America? What demographic is most likely to receive government entitltments? What demographic is most likely to drop out of school? What demographic is most likely to vote demorat? The punk criminals must be held accountable for their actions, but the latent and real effects of failed liberal social policies are undeniable.

My comment was meant to be satirical. I guess you didn't get it. I am an unfailing advocate of better schools and increased spending for better education for all children.
As Mark Twain said:
"Every time you stop a school, you will have to build a jail. What you gain at one end you lose at the other. It's like feeding a dog on his own tail. It won't fatten the dog."
If Little Rock did what the state of Maine did and gave every middle school child a computer, you would have fewer kids turning to drugs and guns. If people are too cheap to spend money for decent schools, then you can expect young people to turn to crime. If the kids are not busy with homework, they will get into trouble. As the sisters at MSM used to say, "Idleness is the devil's workshop." Give the kids computers and after school programs!

Pop, I've read your earlier posts. I know precisely what you were aiming at although I can see how the point of my comment wasn't entirely clear. The problem isn't the schools. It's the parents and a basic lack of involvement in a child's life. Throwing more money at the schools won't fix that. Oh, and I just read about a school that provided computers to students. Was it here in AR? I don't remember. Anyway, a large chunk simply vanished. Oh well. What does it matter, right? It's only free money. And let's talk about kids, computers, and, for example, a lack of understanding of basic math to do things like balance a checkbook. After all, why bother to learn that crap when I have a computer?

Hey HotSpringsLawyer -Most likely those punks have been receiving entitlements directly and indirectly since the day they were born and live in culture where entitlements are a way of life. If conservatives do not support liberal policies that encourage dependence on the government as opposed to dependence on self, how can they be blamed? Also, you can bet these punks bought into the class warfare business about taking from the rich and wealth re-disbrution.
Hey Populist - Did I miss the part where the wise Mr. Twain said we need more computers or spending without limit or measure of success? Got a question for you: What percentage of kids in Maine over the past ten years have been born to unwed mothers versus the percentage for the same time period in Arkansas? The answer will help you arrive at the root of the problem. Also, your statement about computers is absurd!

if you want to fix crime in arkansas,you need to start by bulldozing everything south of 630 to pine bluff then send the refugees up to maine where they can get a good education.it would be nice if everyone got a education on someone elses dime just like obozo did.

Please explain your name. I believe it can explain much about your viewpoints.
The fault of crime is a complex one. When the slaves were "freed," it was decided not to give them any land upon which to farm. They had to become sharecroppers or de facto slaves. Of course, most had been denied an education. Indeed, it was illegal to provide them with one in many parts of the country.
In many parts of the country, blacks are becoming more educated and highly successful. However, in some parts of the country, they are still behind. I know some black Arkansans leave the state after they have become educated. Let's not play the blame game. Let's enable everybody to be the best that they can be. There are many ignorant white people in Arkansas. Let's improve the schools and make Arkansas a better community.

It is disgusting and base the way so many on here are always waiting to make snide comments when a criminal is black. It makes your day. When the criminal is of some other race, we don't see these disgusting comments.
Remember Birnie Madoff, Ronald Gene Simmons, Tim McVeigh and others too numerous to mention. When their crimes were published, did you instantly make snide comments about white people?
Have you ever thought what it would be like to be an honest, ordinary black person and hold your breath when a news story comes on about a crime, hoping it isn't another black person to reinforce peoples' prejudice? Have you ever thought how it is for normal honest black men to see fear in people's eyes when they meet on a street at night?
