Arkansas' revenue increases slightly in November

— The state finance office says Arkansas’ November revenue was slightly ahead of last year’s figures and its expectations.

The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration said Tuesday the state’s net available revenue last month totaled $350.6 million. That’s $7.9 million above last year and $4.6 million above forecast. The state’s revenue for the fiscal year that began July 1 totals $1.9 billion, which is $53 million above last year and $4.6 million above forecast.

The department in November revised its forecast for the year upward by $99.5 million.

The state’s income tax collections last month were above forecast and last year’s figures. Sales tax collections were above last year’s figures, but below forecast.
