The Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in North Little Rock was attacked Monday by vandals who sprayed white supremacist-themed graffiti on the building, the Pulaski County sheriff's office said Tuesday.

Deputies were dispatched Monday night to the church at 26622 Arkansas 365 North in North Little Rock at 8:45 p.m. Monday. There, the officers found that white-supremacist graffiti had been drawn in white paint "all over" the north side of the building, a sheriff's office report states.

The report states that the letters "KKK" and a swastika symbol were painted on the building, along with symbols referred to as "lightning bolts" and a "stormfront cross."

The damage to the church was estimated at about $8,000 worth.

Hopefully those responsible for this will be caught. The penalty for such should be severe including making them remove and/or repaint the structure or both: then prison time for several years.

What ever happened to inocent until proven guilty? it could be a "Black" group that did this just to stir up racial problems, it's happened before.

    HM2,

No matter who did it; it is a horrible thing. Do not blame the victim.

It does not matter what group or groups of people that did this, the facts still remain that it should not have ever been done. The name CHURCH once meant something to the majority of the people, but times are different now...and that's so sad. And let me add this for good measure; the fine pastor of this church, the members, you nor I may know the people responsible for this, But you can rest assured that it has not gone un-noticed. Be not deceived, for God is not mocked, for whatever a man soweth, THAT shall he also reap. I don't care what the color is, that does not matter one little bit. There is a pay day coming, and without prejudice, the right man (Jesus) will pay off after awhile. With God, there is no proving one guilty, because he saw the act even as it was being done. Since he does not make mistakes, He won't accuse the wrong person. None of this caught Him by surprise. God didn't wake this morning and ask for an explanation of what happened. Mt. Pilgrim, hold your peace, God's got this. Watch Him fight this battle for you. Nobody has arms long enough..to box with God. You must be doing something right. Keep up the good works...These are but light afflictions, cause in the end, we win.

HM2; I don't believe any of the posters or the writer of the article says anything about any group or individual being charged; much less convicted without any trial. You are the only one who is making any inference about who may be responsible!

@florise27 -You have got to start taking your anti-psychotics.
