— Authorities in Little Rock are looking for a robber who held up a gas station at gunpoint late Tuesday night.

The Little Rock Police Department said the robber entered the Exxon at 5223 S. University Ave. shortly before 11:30 p.m.

A store employee told investigators the man displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the register. He fled east toward a nearby apartment complex after taking $140, police said.

The robber is described as a black man about 5-foot-6 and about 140 pounds. He was wearing a brown coat and bluejeans, police said.

No arrests have been made.

Little Rock is the Wild Wild West anymore. I thought the new sales tax was going to fix this. Glad I don't live there.

It's becoming too much of a trend in LR and NlR, these young half-wits running wild. Move some of the police from traffic control to police the streets. Step up quicker and stiffer prosecutions when the offenders are apprended. Set up some sting operations. These hoodlums have turned the Holiday season into a crime wave season. You cannot reason or coddle with these types, they do not have the mentality to comprehend.
