Teen girl held in 80-year-old's death

MENA — Authorities have arrested a 17-year-old girl in the death of an 80-year-old man whose body was found in a ditch.
Mena police detective Brandon Martin said authorities found the body of Loyd Cole in a ditch near Gillham Avenue about 11 a.m. Monday.
Martin told the Southwest Times Record that police consider the death a homicide, but they haven’t released how Cole died.
Martin said police arrested a 17-year-old girl in the death. The teen, whose name hasn’t been released, is being held in the Polk County jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.
Police declined to release details of the case, saying it’s still under investigation.
