BLYTHEVILLE — Authorities in Blytheville say a teenager is dead after he was shot while walking home from school.
Blytheville Police Chief Ross Thompson said 18-year-old Miguel Estrada was shot while walking home on Holly Street about 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Thompson saod Estrada was taken to a Blytheville hospital, where he later died.
Police arrested a 16-year-old and 15-year-old in Estrada’s shooting.
Their names weren’t released because of their ages.
Thompson said Estrada knew the teens and that there was a “history of threats” between them.
Blytheville Superintendent Richard Atwill told the Blytheville Courier News that the suspected gunman went to school with Estrada.
