— Amanda Leigh Sutherlin became the bride of Robert Weakley Owens III at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, in Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. The Rev. Paul McLain officiated, assisted by the Rev. Karen Akin of Second Presbyterian Church.

Deborah and Richard Sutherlin III of Oxford, Miss., are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Eva Mae and the late Lester Brown of El Dorado, Joan and Henry Boerner of Sherwood and the late Richard Sutherlin Jr. of Camden.

The groom is the son of Susan and Robert Owens Jr. of Little Rock. His grandparents are the late Edith and Dr. Alfred Hyde of Alexandria, La., and the late May and Robert Owens of Little Rock.

The high altar held an arrangement of white flowers in honor of the deceased grandparents. Music was by organist Thomas Lee and a chamber chorale from Episcopal Collegiate school directed by Karen Q. Clark. Marcie Jones of Madison, Miss., was a reader. Assisting with programs were Katie Millard of Denver and Morgan Ashley Sutherlin of Little Rock, cousins of the bride.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an off-the-shoulder fitted lace gown with an overlay of tulle embellished with appliqued lace. Her skirt extended to a cathedral-length train. She carried a bouquet of gold and pearl vintage jewels and brooches from the bride’s family.

Serving as the bride’s honor attendants were Toni Capomazza of Oxford and Megan Polson of Spartanburg, S.C. Bridesmaids were Allison Gann of Rogers, sister of the groom; Katie Schornhorst and Joy Clark, both of Oxford; Michelle Crews of Madison; Mary-Lee Smith of Little Rock; Candice Sutherlin of Charleston, S.C.; and Susanne Mackintosh of Los Angeles. They wore draped winter-white chiffon gowns and carried tussie-mussies of gypsophilia.

Flower girl was Addison Sutherlin of Charleston, niece of the bride. Ring bearer was William Crews of Madison, godson of the bride.

The father of the groom was best man. Groomsmen were Richard Sutherlin IV of Charleston, brother of the bride; Reginald Capps Jr., Robert Vogel Jr., Mathews Miller, Robert Reed Gibbons, Thomas Dickinson, Matthew Lewis and John Earl, all of Little Rock. Guests were seated by William Ransom, Robert Allen, Stephen Selig and Frank Headlee, all of Little Rock; Tanner Bassett of Springdale and Stuart Hiserodt of Austin, Texas.

A reception in the Junior League of Little Rock building followed the ceremony. Guest tables were centered with crystal lamps and arrangements of white wedding flowers. Music was by The Rockets.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Mississippi at Oxford with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She is executive assistant and scheduler to Attorney General Dustin McDaniel.

The groom is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate. He is an investment banker at Crews and Associates.

The couple will live in Little Rock after a wedding trip to St. Lucia.
