— Ashley Nicole Wingo, who goes by Coley, and Matthew Lane Holton were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, in First United Methodist Church. Officiating were the Revs. Chris Cooper and Kurt Boggan.

The bride is the daughter of Lee and Thomas Carlisle of Little Rock and Chris Anne and Stephen Lamar Wingo of Birmingham, Ala. She is the granddaughter of Anita and the late Dr. Harold Gray Carter and the late Marietta and Pittman Wingo, all of Birmingham, and Laverne and John Carlisle of Crossville, Tenn.

The groom is the son of Melodie and Harry Lane Holton of Camilla, Ga. He is the grandson of the late Hazel and Harry Holton of Camilla and the late Martha and Frank Child of Manchester, Ga.

The altar held arrangements of white gladioli, casablanca lilies and white snapdragons in glass cylinders. Music was by organist John Churchwell and vocalist the Rev. Rebecca Boggan.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a satin gown with an overlay of Alencon lace. The fitted bodice’s sweetheart neckline and the hem of the trumpet skirt and chapel train were embellished with scalloped lace. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of ivory roses, white Asiatic lilies and eggplant-hued lisianthus.

Matron of honor was Whitney Lee Brown of Birmingham, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Dr. Lindsey Karavites of Chicago, sister of the groom; Shea Gibbs and Kimberly Barringer, both of Little Rock; Pamela Hanes, Nolen Potts, Jennifer Spahn and Amelia Stimpson, all of Birmingham; Casey Wilson of Mobile, Ala.; and Leah Wright of Dallas.

They wore strapless gowns of eggplantcolored chiffon with gathered Empire waistlines and carried bouquets of lavender roses.

The father of the groom served as best man. Groomsmen were Chris Sirockman of Atlanta; Nicholas Karavites of Chicago; Mark Brown of Birmingham; Chase Carlisle of New Orleans, brother of the bride; Michael Thomas Bozeman of Sylvester, Ga.; Andrew Young of Auburn, Ala.; Matthew Sirockman of Atlanta; Keith Whayley of Saint Cloud, Fla.; and Zachery Jennings of Americus, Ga.

A reception at the Clinton Presidential Center followed the ceremony. Guest tables covered in silver, white and eggplant cloths were centered with bubble bowls filled with ivory and white cremone chrysanthemums. Music was by Brenda & Ellis.

The bride is a graduate of Auburn (Ala.) University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. She will be attending nursing school.

The groom received a Georgia Cattlemen’s Scholarship to Auburn, where he played on the football team and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics. He is employed with Holton Cattle and Consulting and owner of South Eastern Cattle Transport.

The couple will make their home in Auburn and take a wedding trip at a later date.
