VIOLA The National Weather Service in Little Rock will be sending a team of investigators to tour storm damage near Viola.
The Sunday afternoon storm produced strong winds and a possible tornado about four miles west of the Fulton County town about 160 miles north of Little Rock. One minor injury was reported.
Weather service meteorologist John Robinson says three mobile homes, a duplex, three barns, and four outbuildings were damaged. A sheriff’s dispatcher says one witness reported the storm included a small tornado shortly before 1 p.m.
Robinson said a tornado cannot be confirmed until weather service investigators examine the damage later Monday.
The storms that moved across the state also produced 3/4- to 1 3/4-inch hail and strong winds downed trees at Greenbrier.
