LITTLE ROCK — The National Weather Service says parts of the state could see a wintry mix of sleet and snow Monday morning, but accumulations aren't expected to be significant.
A cold front moving into the state through the morning will bring precipitation. The light wintry mix could occur roughly along a line from Murfreesboro to Little Rock to Newport, the weather service said.
Forecasters noted the ground temperatures are too high for any significant accumulation on roads. A light dusting on grassy areas is possible, officials said.
The front is ushering in much lower temperatures. A high of 41 is forecast Monday in Little Rock with the low expected to dip into the 20s overnight.
