Pair of Cantrell Road business robberies probed

— Authorities are investigating a pair of robberies that occurred within about two hours of each other Wednesday night at businesses less than a quarter-mile apart on Cantrell Road.

Officers were first called about 9:05 p.m. to the Wendy's at 7312 Cantrell Road after two men entered with handguns and demanded cash. After getting an undisclosed amount, they fled on foot.

Less than two hours later, authorities were called to the Exxon gas station at 7600 Cantrell Road. In that robbery, two men entered, pointed a handgun at a clerk and grabbed money from the cash register. The men also took a cell phone before running away, police said.

Little Rock Police Department Sgt. Cassandra Davis said that the robberies are still under investigation and that police have not established any connection between them.

The suspects in the Exxon robbery are described as black men who stood about 5-foot-11 and weighed about 150 pounds. One wore a black hoodie and blue pants, while the other had on a black hoodie and a yellow and black mask.

A police report describes the suspects in the Wendy's robbery as black men in their late 20s to early 30s who stood about 6 feet tall and weighed about 170 pounds. One wore a gray hoodie, jeans, black tennis shoes and a red bandanna, while the other wore a black hoodie, jeans and a red bandanna.

No arrests have been made.
