Police investigate attempted holdup at LR Taco Bell

— Authorities are looking for a group of robbers who attempted to hold up a Little Rock Taco Bell early Monday morning.

The Little Rock Police Department said it happened about 4:15 a.m. as employees were locking up the location at 9600 N. Rodney Parham Road.

Police said the two employees reported two of the robbers approached them outside and forced them back in the business at gunpoint.

One employee said she was kicked and choked by one of the men while the second man unsuccessfully attempted to access the restaurant's safe. The two men reportedly used a radio to communicate with a third man acting as a lookout outside.

The men ultimately fled north on foot, police said.

Neither employee reported any injuries.

The two would-be robbers who entered the business are described as black men about 20 to 22 years old who wore all black clothing. One weighed about 130 pounds and stood 5-foot-4. The other weighed about 150 pounds and stood 5-foot-7.

No arrests have been made.
