Little Rock Fire Department responded to a house fire at 202 Shenandoah Valley Drive on Tuesday afternoon. There were no reported injuries.
LITTLE ROCK The Little Rock Fire Department is on the scene of a house fire Tuesday afternoon at 202 Shenandoah Valley Drive.
Capt. Randy Hickmon said the department has been on the scene since about 3 p.m., and the fire is not currently under control.
The fire caused about $175,000 worth of damage to the home, Hickmon said.
He said the department will "have its hands full for a while." Shenandoah Valley Drive is currently closed and will remain closed for the next couple of hours, Hickmon said. Hickmon said people traveling home from work should avoid this road if possible.
No injuries were reported, and while the cause of the fire has not been confirmed, officials said they believe it started in the kitchen.
