— State police are investigating a crash in Searcy involving two troopers that totaled both of their patrol cars.

No one was hurt in the Monday night accident, which Searcy police say occurred when the troopers were driving to assist Searcy police, who were trying to find a man who’d been involved in a disturbance.

The Daily Citizen reported that the troopers were both headed west on Pleasure Street when one trooper slowed to make a turn and the other one turned into the path of the first cruiser.

State police Capt. Jeff Drew said the agency is investigating and hadn’t drawn any conclusions yet.

They must have been driving an unsafe speed on a 2-way street. Apparently, the man was only wanted for a disturbance call nothing was said he was armed and dangerous. They should had to pay 50% of the cost of the cruisers to be replaced since they were at fault. Just saying. Believe me, they would had ticketed you or me for turning in front of another vehicle that caused a wreck but I'm sure if it was me or you neither one of the vehicles would had been totaled.
