Clinton’s legacy topic of January speech

— Bob Nash, who worked under Bill Clinton while the latter was governor and president, will deliver a Legacies and Lunch speech Jan. 9 at the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies in Little Rock.

To mark the 20th anniversary of Clinton’s presidential inauguration, Nash will talk about what it was like working with Clinton when he was governor; keeping the state government running during a presidential campaign; and going to Washington, the center said in a statement.

When Clinton was Arkansas governor, Nash served as his senior executive assistant in charge of economic-development policy. Later, he served as U.S. agriculture undersecretary and White House personnel director.

The speech will be free and public. Attendees may take along sack lunches; drinks and dessert will be provided.

The Butler Center is at the Central Arkansas Library System’s Main Library’s Darragh Center, 100 Rock St.
