LITTLE ROCK — Shelby Brewer
Where I live: In the fabulous, historic Quapaw Tower in downtown Little Rock. I have lived in this apartment building for several years, but I recently moved into this apartment. I love living downtown. I also work downtown so I have a very short commute.
Occupation: Media and communications manager for the Arkansas Arts Council
My favorite space: My balcony that overlooks downtown Little Rock.
Why: I like to come home after work, pour a glass of wine and sit on the balcony. I listen to the sounds of the city and watch the sun set in the western sky. I feel at peace with myself and with the world when I am relaxing on my balcony, gazing at the beautiful Little Rock skyline. Having this fabulous view makes me truly appreciate living in such a wonderful city. Watching the sun set over the downtown skyline is like a show every night. Plus the balcony makes my living room/dining room area seem larger.
If I could change one thing to improve this space, I would:
I would not change a thing about the balcony, except maybe enlarge it. However, I live in a one-bedroom apartment. I’d love to add a second bedroom to turn into an art/photography studio. Other than that, I’m very happy where I am.
