— LR man admits

role in robbery

A Little Rock man arrested Thursday on a traffic warrant later admitted to police he took part in the armed robbery of a fast-food restaurant in October, according to an arrest report.

Christopher Bell, 36, of 9101 Auxor Road was arrested on a traffic warrant and charged with driving with a suspended license, an arrest report states. Later, Bell told police he drove two people to and from an Oct. 10 armed robbery at the Burger King restaurant at 5900 Dreher Lane in Little Rock, the report states.

About 9:50 p.m. Oct. 10, two men - one armed with a handgun - entered the restaurant and ordered everyone to the ground, a police report states. One man took the store manager to the back of the building, ordered her to open the safe and took somemoney. He then demanded she open the cash registers and stuffed that money into his pockets, police said.

The other man stood watch at the front of the store, the report states.

The two men then ran out the door and fled in a gray Chevrolet Monte Carlo, the report states.

A police broadcast was made after the robbery, and an off-duty officer working at the Auxora Arms Apartments at 9101 Auxor Road saw a vehicle matching the description drive into the complex.

The officer tried to talk to the occupants of the car, but they went inside an apartment. Before they entered the apartment, the officer saw a weapon matching the description of one of the weapons used in the robbery, the report states.

Bell was being held Thursday night in the Pulaski County jail in lieu of $40,000 bond.
