— Caitlin Brooke Simpson and Dr. Andrew Gordon West were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, in Calvary Baptist Church. The Rev. Ed Simpson officiated.

Parents of the bride are Karen and Jim Simpson Jr., 30 River Ridge Circle. She is the granddaughter of Margaret and Carl Brooks and Louise and Marlon Simpson, all of Little Rock.

The groom is the son of Peggy and Doug West of Sheridan. His grandparents are Mary and Marlin Dailey and the late Roy Gordon Bennett, all of Blackton, and Jessie and Orlin West of Dumas.

The chancel held three white filbert trees with votive candles hanging from the branches. Music was by soloist Sheri Swindler, organist Donna Williams and harpist Elisa Williams.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory satin gown with an overlay of English net and Guipure lace. The fitted bodice had a V-neckline and sheer lace back. The trumpet skirt extended into a chapel train. She carried an all-white bouquet of freesia, peonies, English garden roses, stephanotis and dendrobium orchids.

Serving as the bride’s honor attendants were Mary Masching and Margaret Payne, both of Little Rock. Bridesmaids were Mary Margaret Faulkner and Lindsay Coleman, both also of Little Rock; Allison Hughes of Waco, Texas, cousin of the bride; Scarlet Andrews and Mary Kate Daugherty, both of Fayetteville; and Jenni Hedrick of Texarkana.

They wore floor-length black chiffon one-shoulder gowns and carried bouquets of white roses, stephanotis, freesia, peonies, stock and lisianthus.

Best man was Jonathan West of Benton, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Zak Moore, Michael Kirkpatrick, Dr. Drew Sessions and Dr. Ryan David, all of Little Rock; Scott Speights of Arkadelphia; Joshua Farmer of Bryant; and Jeremy Orman of Maumelle.

Guests were seated by Bryden, Lawson and Gannon Wright and Matthew and Benjamin Brooks, all of Little Rock and cousins of the bride.

Guest tables at a reception at the Country Club of Little Rock were decorated with tall glass cylinders holding arrangements of hydrangeas, roses, orchids and stock with magnolia branches and Christmas greenery. The buffet table held a large white filbert tree decorated with white wedding flowers. Music was by The Party Jammers of Memphis.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where she was president of Pi Beta Phi.She is an associate account executive at Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods.

The groom graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia. He graduated with honors and a medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He is a diagnostic radiology resident at UAMS.

The couple will reside in Little Rock after a wedding trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
