Construction of Texarkana roads slated for 2013

TEXARKANA — Drivers in Texarkana, Ark., can expect to see orange construction barrels in the new year.
The Texarkana Gazette reported Sunday that field surveys and base maps for Arkansas Boulevard, County Avenue and East 24th Street have been completed.
Engineer Craig Beckham said engineering design for the roads will continue to happen into next month. The three roads are slated to be up for city review and bidding by February. Construction is expected to happen between March and June.
