Judicial, lawyer types make merry at dean’s annual shindig

— Judges, old lawyers and new, and faculty and staff of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s William H. Bowen School of Law arbitrated its annual Dean’s Holiday Party on Dec. 13 at Trapnall Hall downtown.

They sustained several varieties of wine and cross-examined serving trays of stuffed potato skins, mini-quiches, buttery shrimp and several dips.

When one lawyer barged through the heavy front door of the hall, bumping another lawyer in the elbow accidentally, the latter declared he would take her for all her money.

If you can’t poke some fun at barratry, what’s the use having a bar?
