— Shots fired in lot at Riverdale Wal-Mart

Multiple shots were fired in the Riverdale area Saturday afternoon, but Little Rock police said no one was injured.

About 3:45 p.m., several shots were fired in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market at 2510 Cantrell Road, Little Rock police said at the scene.

Police were talking to one man about the incident, but they would not say if he fired the shots or if officers recovered a weapon. Crime scene officers collected evidence and talked to witnesses.

Investigators continued to review the matter Saturday night.

2 teens arrested in

church carjacking

Two Little Rock teens were arrested Friday after they carjacked a woman in a church parking lot, according to the arrest report.

Kawon Tyrell Profit, 17, of1010 Monroe St., and Cortez Smith, 17, of 1521 Valmar St., were charged Friday with aggravated robbery and theft of property after they took the victim’s car by gunpoint and led Little Rock police on a “high-speed” pursuit into North Little Rock, the arrest reports said.

The two were taken to the Pulaski County jail and were held there Saturday without bail.

The pair took the car from the Greater Christ Temple Pentecostal Church parking lot at 1200 Bishop Warren Drive, the reports state. Smith drove the vehicle into North Little Rock, where he got into a car accident, the reports said.

Little Rock police later found a 9mm Ruger handgun in the stolen vehicle, the reports said. No one was injured during the robbery.
