Two pedestrians hit, killed in Pine Bluff

An early morning wreck on Christmas killed two in Pine Bluff, the Arkansas State Police said Wednesday.

A 2010 Dodge driven by Kendrix Collins was heading north on Olive Street at 31st Street in Pine Bluff about 2:30 a.m. when two pedestrians entered his path, the state police said.

The pedestrians, identified as 27-year-old Deaundre Washington and 32-year-old Dontrick Williams, both of Pine Bluff, were hit and killed, state police said.

The road was clear and dry at the time of the accident, according to the state police report.

Washington and Williams were the 534th and 535th to die in accidents on Arkansas roads this year, according to preliminary figures.
