2.1-magnitude quake strikes near Clinton

A magnitude-2.1 earthquake struck Monday morning near the Van Buren County town of Clinton, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The temblor, which rumbled about a mile and a half beneath the surface about six miles south of Clinton, occurred about 8:53 a.m., the survey said.
The quake hit about 53 miles north of Little Rock, the capital.
There were no immediate reports of damage or of residents feeling the quake.
