Philadelphia Eagles fire Andy Reid as coach after 14 seasons

Andy Reid was fired today after 14 seasons as coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, the longest active tenure in the National Football League.

The Eagles reached the playoffs nine times under Reid but finished 4-12 this season, capped by a 42-7 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday.
