LITTLE ROCK — Law enforcement officers in Arkansas plan to be on the roads to catch drunken drivers on New Year’s Eve.
State police have had special patrols throughout the holiday season and many local agencies will have extra officers on duty Tuesday night.
In Little Rock, officers will be working overtime to patrol for impaired drivers. Little Rock police will also have mobile units on duty to answer an anticipated increase in calls about shots being fired.
Authorities say a number of weapons charges may be brought against people firing guns to ring in the new year.
