CONWAY Conway KLife will hold the fourth annual 1985K at 5 p.m. Feb. 25 at John McConnell Stadium at Conway High School-West.
The 5K, a USA Track and Field-certified road course, directly benefits K-Life, the nonprofit community wide youth ministry.
“This is both a serious race for serious runners and a family-friendly race for those runners/walkers who just want to come out and have fun while supporting a great cause,” said Alan Stone, race co-director.
He said that last year, the organization spent “11,500 hours positively influencing middle and high school students in Conway.”The first 200 participants receive a T-shirt, a race bag and a finisher’s prize.
“This year, the community of Conway is coming out in big ways to support the race with food vendors, live music, and great giveaways,” said Kyle Williamson, men’s discipleship director for K-Life.
K-Life is a nondenominational Christian youth ministry that began its 20th year of ministry in Conway in October. K-Life has 36 college students and young professionals who host “clubs” - weekly meetings with games, skits, worship and a talk from the Bible.
