Ward man held in stabbing

LITTLE ROCK — A 21-year-old Ward man is accused of stabbing another man.
Police say Shawn Anthony Allen initially told investigators only that he had been struck in the face Thursday night in a dispute with two other men at a house on Highway 31 North.
Later that night, deputies with the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office received a report that a 28-year-old man was being treated for a stab wound to his left shoulder at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock. The man told police Allen did it, the sheriff's office said.
Allen was later booked into the Lonoke County jail on a preliminary charge of second-degree battery.
