TEXARKANA An Oklahoma couple has been arraigned on federal murder and kidnapping charges for the death of a man who was strangled by a noose and whose body was dumped at Texarkana Speedway.
U.S. Attorney Conner Eldridge said Friday that 46-year-old Leslie Bruce Larcade and 37-year-old Chrystal Larcade of Broken Bow appeared in court Friday to answer charges in a previously sealed indictment from January.
They are accused in the August slaying of 45-year-old Shannon Deval Watkins, also from Broken Bow.
Eldridge says the Larcades could face execution if convicted in Watkins’ death.
A witness saw two people dump the body at the race track. The Larcades were caught a day later after a police chase in Howard County in southwest Arkansas.
