LITTLE ROCK — LR man stabbed, robbed near home
A man told police he was stabbed in the back and robbed on a southwest Little Rock street near his home Sunday evening, police said.
Jesus Vega, 24, was in stable condition at a hospital Sunday night after the stabbing and robbery, which happened about 6:20 p.m. in the 8400 block of Doyle Springs Road, police said.
Vega told police he had been walking along the street, about a block from his home, when three black men wearing hooded sweatshirts and other dark-colored clothing approached him and demanded his wallet.
When Vega refused, one of the men stabbed him in the lower back with a knife, police said.
The men took Vega’s wallet and fled south on Doyle Springs Road.
Vega was being treated Sunday at UAMS Medical Center, police said. His injury was not considered life threatening.
No arrests had been made late Sunday.
