LITTLE ROCK — A woman was fatally shot Sunday evening at a North Little Rock housing project, police said.
The shooting happened about 6:15 p.m. at the Shorter Gardens housing project at 800 N. Beech St., North Little Rock police Sgt. Brian Dedrick said.
The woman was found inside an apartment at the complex, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, Dedrick said.
The woman was taken to UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock. Pulaski County Coroner Gerone Hobbs said she was pronounced dead at 6:53 p.m.
Authorities declined to release the woman’s name Sunday evening, saying her relatives had not yet been notified.
Dedrick said he didn’t have information about what led to the shooting. He said no arrests had been made late Sunday.
