LITTLE ROCK — A truck hauling boxes of medical supplies ran off Interstate 40 Monday morning, toppling onto its side and spilling its load into a wooded area by the highway.
It happened before 8:30 a.m. just west of the Kerr Road exit.
Police on scene said the driver did not appear to have suffered any serious injuries.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation, but authorities said it was not related to the weather. A steady snow fell as Arkansas State Police troopers and firefighters with the South Bend Fire Department examined the scene, but the wreck occurred before the interstate turned slick.
